OFFICIAL STATUS GUIDE
GTA6 Release Date, Preload, Editions and Pre-order Guide
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026. This page separates confirmed Rockstar details from unanswered questions, with direct links to official sources.
What is the official GTA6 release date?
Rockstar lists November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Older references to 2025 or May 2026 are historical dates and should not be treated as current.
Checked September 14 against Rockstar's GTA VI page and the support articles linked below. An Extended Look is now available; see the official news timeline for the August 27 milestone.
Preload and physical edition details
Digital preloading begins at local midnight on November 12, 2026. Rockstar expects physical copies to begin shipping or becoming available for pickup that day; delivery timing depends on the retailer.
The physical box contains a digital download code. Rockstar explicitly says a disc is not included. Account region rules still apply, so buy a code intended for the region of your PlayStation account. Xbox codes are listed as region-free in Rockstar's support information.
Standard and Ultimate editions
STANDARD
Grand Theft Auto VI
The base single-player game. The Ultimate Edition Upgrade can be purchased separately later, according to Rockstar.
ULTIMATE
Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition
Includes an additional collection of vehicles, weapons, apparel and story-related extras. Check the official store for regional pricing.
Pre-order bonuses
Rockstar lists the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+ for digital pre-orders and purchases before November 20, 2026. The pack contains a 1955 Vapid Stanier Sedan and garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern. Physical pre-orders include the game and pack code; Rockstar does not list the GTA+ month for that version.
Offers and redemption rules can vary by region. Use the official storefront shown for your country rather than a third-party key listing.
Is GTA6 coming to PC?
No PC version or release date has been announced. Rockstar's current materials list PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Previous Rockstar release patterns are not confirmation of a GTA6 PC date.
